Cancer Counselling and Emotional Support
Facing cancer brings profound emotional, physical and psychological shifts. Whether you are currently in treatment, undergoing immunotherapy, recovering after surgery, navigating remission or supporting a loved one through a diagnosis, counselling can offer a stabilising and compassionate space to help you process what is happening.
Based in Cirencester and working online across the UK, I offer specialist cancer counselling that combines psychodynamic understanding with gentle therapeutic tools designed to support you through uncertainty, fear, fatigue and the impact that cancer has on identity, relationships and daily life.
Support During Treatment
Cancer treatment often brings exhaustion, pain, fear and a loss of control. Clients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy frequently describe heightened anxiety and a sense of being overwhelmed. Counselling provides space to explore these emotions safely and to understand the deeper impact of treatment on your sense of self. Together, we can work on coping strategies that support both your emotional health and your resilience throughout your oncology journey.
Counselling for Cancer Survivors and Life After Treatment
Many people expect to feel relief once treatment ends, yet the post treatment phase often triggers uncertainty, fear of recurrence and difficulty adjusting to a new normal. Psychodynamic cancer counselling can be especially supportive at this stage, helping you process what you have been through and reconnect with who you are now. You might also be exploring changes in relationships, identity, intimacy or body image. All of this is welcome in the therapy space.
Living With Cancer and Long Term Conditions
If cancer has become a long term part of your life, therapy can help you find emotional steadiness, acceptance and a sense of agency even when circumstances feel unpredictable. You do not need to appear strong. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Carers and Family Support
Caring for someone with cancer can be emotionally demanding and isolating. I offer counselling for carers, partners and family members who may feel overwhelmed, frightened or unable to express their own emotional needs. This space allows you to find clarity, compassion for yourself and tools to cope with the changing dynamics within your family or relationship.
Emotional Support for Palliative Care and Terminal Diagnoses
Counselling offers a gentle, grounded space where you can express fears, grief, longing, love and unfinished stories. This support is centred on your comfort, dignity and emotional truth.
A Safe and Private Space in Cirencester and Online
I work from a warm and confidential setting in Cirencester and also offer online counselling for anyone across the Cotswolds and the UK who is seeking emotional support during cancer treatment. You are welcome to bring whatever you are experiencing, including anger, grief, sadness, hope and the search for meaning. My role is to walk alongside you with kindness and presence.
